Just a quick geeky note — the free internet workstation at this hostel, the Alberguinn in Barcelona, uses Ubuntu Linux, how cool!

Hey ! I’ve been a long time linux fan (started around RH5, then Mandrake, back to RH, then Debian, my longest lasting love hehe) and since we’re giving net access to people at the alberguinn and we really don’t want viruses and stuff, you wither bring your own laptop (we have WIFI) or use our free Ubuntu WorkStation… hehe used to be my old computer at home.
Anyways we’re planning on setting up a second and maybe 3rd ubuntu around the living room. 1 is definitely not enough but we need to scrounge up some working parts, maybe I can get some from my job (old PIII 450s and such). So maybe next time you come the situation will be better.
Anyways, just stumbled across your blog when doing a test google search for “alberguinn test” and thought it was cool you mentioned us :-)
see ya.

Oh I didn’t mention, the server that runs our site (you know DNS, WWW, Samba, NTP, Apache MySQL etc etc) is in a room right next to the reception desk and is also an ubuntu machine (I think Warty) I really need to upgrade it!!! ehehe
